In a statement issued on Sunday, the stakeholders expressed appreciation for what they described as the governor’s support and contribution to Haruna’s electoral success, while praising his administration’s engagement with the local government.

Ipinmisho also acknowledged the contributions of other political leaders and campaign officials, including Salman Idris, who represents the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji and campaign council Director-General Femi Obanewo.

He further commended the Ijumu Elders Council, led by Dr. Funsho Olumoko, alongside its secretary, Sunday Faleke, for their guidance and support during the campaign.

Other individuals recognised in the statement included Dr. Helen Adeniyi, Dr. Femi Fashagba, Alhaji Taufiq Isa, Dr. Victor Omofaiye, Ambassador Dele Nihi and Asiwaju Richard Osaseyi. Ipinmisho praised their efforts and involvement in the campaign.

The stakeholders also thanked voters across Ijumu Local Government Area for their participation and support during the election, describing their backing as an important part of the outcome.

They expressed hope that the returning council leadership would fulfil its commitments to residents and maintain accountability in the delivery of local government services.

Haruna’s re-election is expected to place renewed attention on the council’s priorities, including community development, public services and the needs of residents across Ijumu.
